Hot air from engine

when i push the recirc button it turns on for about 10 minutes and then turns itself off.
Is there any way to make it stay on?

Without changing any HVAC settings after it's on? That seems weird.

My recirc button will usually stay lit forever unless I hit the auto or A/C buttons or the blower dial, though sometimes in auto mode it'll kick off if it's humid enough that the defrost needs to kick on.

Well... someone in this thread suggested that the HVAC only does this while in recirc mode, which makes sense. I rarely use that mode.

Behind the glove box is the mixer for the A/C system. In Jeeps infinite wisdom, they designed the Wranglers to dump engine area air into the cabin, ever 15 minutes or so. Welcome to the club "It's a Jeep Thang".

JL 2018, 3.6. Many hours with A/C on. Never had any "engine area air" dumped into cabin. I guess it's a mystery.

Maybe it was just recirc being turned off automatically..

Well that's even weirder then. Do you still have a front defrost setting?

Honestly not sure how mine knows what the humidity is, but as soon as the windows start fogging up inside, the recirc button turns off by itself sometimes. Even without A/C or defrost, that's probably still the correct thing to do. Not sure how it knows, though.

It would be difficult to narrow down the cause without knowing how your system was set. Do you have auto climate control? Was the climate control on manual? Was the climate control set on recirc or outside air??‍

I don't believe I have manual climate control? And yes, it was on recirc.

Just unplug the fresh air connector. Unless you’re really want to use that feature. I’m in Deep South Texas and NEVER use the vent, always max recirc AC. Unplugged mine to keep it from doing this dumb warm air thing and never looked back.
