Before throwing accusations, let's take a step back. I don't dislike anyone.
I do dislike the behavior of hijacking another business effort and take the spot light to their own. When I sell stuff, I'm not going to behave like this.

Woah things are getting heated! Not sure I understand the appeal of hood struts. Y'all just need to do more shoulder presses. Good for shoulder and physical health. Are we in a Jeep or Prius forum???

I am short. Using the hood prop to fully open the hood doesn't feel or look manly. But I guess neither does jumping to close it.

I've had this guy in my cart on the AliExpress app. But occasionally while poking around these Chinese app / websites, I find a product that is original enough that I recognize that someone on the US market will eventually seize it up and start charging an arm and a leg for it.

In this case I have no intention ever buying this product, I have absolutely no use for it and honestly I think it's kind of a worthless design, but the problem is there's a lot of people in the Jeep community that will eat this shit up!

It bolts into your door hinges, and then wraps around the other side of the door so that it locks in place on your Wrangler. It's a pretty ingenious design, and I can only imagine that it was both developed and created solely by a Chinese manufacturer. I've looked in the US market for this product and I can't find it anywhere. So basically here's a prime example of Chinese manufacturers designing cool shit and then a US LLC picks it up and stupid Americans pay top dollar for it.

I will say I haven't inspected that seller on the link I provided above, so if you do order that product, just be aware that you're taking the risk.

I would show you guys my Alibaba cart, I have about 40 items that are just like that, things that are pretty cool ideas that haven't hit the US market yet, but I don't want to do all of these US-based Chinese purchasing companies job for them. Let them figure out cool products that might sell well.

Hood struts are designed to assist lifting the hood and hold it open, not lift it by themselves from the down position. Your rear glass doesn’t jump open when you open the tailgate. If it can’t hold the hood in the open position then that’s an issue.

Isn’t hood strut a dance from the 70’s? I’m sure that I saw it on American Bandstand. Or maybe it was Chinese Bandstand?

About 55/60 years ago when the Japanese cars and electronics began their big push here there was a buy USA push “buy USA, don’t buy the Jap crap” etc.
I recall a to-do about something(s) imported labeled “Made in USA” ……..
