When I had the problem on a CJ-7, it was traced to the camber adjustment. Both sides needed to be in spec, & matched closely.

Death wobble isn’t exclusive to Jeeps or Wranglers. Land Rover owners have suffered this for a long time too....
EXACTLY. I've had lot of Rams for years, and it wasn't that long ago (well, OK, 15 years or so) that they were notorious for DW. Maybe the only difference was it was rare in new trucks - it would wait and show up after the steering and suspension components got some wear on them.

Hit a bump on the interstate going about 60-65, front end started shaking violently. Decelerated to 45 and the shaking stopped. Accelerated again to 70-75, hit another small bump, and the shaking was worse, almost to the point of losing control. Decelerated and exited the interstate. This Jeep has had the V41 recall performed at another dealership within the last month. Anyone had anything similar? I gave an appointment tomorrow to have it checked and maybe have the front end aligned
Check the track bar mount on the frame. JL's have been known to have bad welds on them. Rusty's off road sells a track bar mount brace for $99. It would be a good idea to put one of these on.

Death wobble is a time-honored wrangler tradition. Welcome to the club
It's a Jeep thing.

If you get any of the nostalgic 1941 decal packages, it's included. No charge.

I have it bad on my Jeep....dropping it off at the dealer for the third new damper (in 11 months). If this one doesn't work, I'm going to have to find a Jeep specialist in northern Virginia to deal with it. It sucks bc everything else on the Jeep is perfect to me....

Curious to know your front tires PSI. I found that keeping them at 32 or so helps. But still there.
I had a 04 TJ Rubi, death wobble, put new tie rods, track bar, upper and lower ball joints, idler arm,, TJ had 79K on it
Death wobble was gone.

Maybe you lost a weight on your rim - that's what happened to mine.

I've had that happen to me twice on a Harley Road King. We call them tank slappers. I managed to get it stopped each time before going down but it's a VERY scary experience. The same cause as the Jeep death wobble though. Worn out parts allowing the harmonics to get out of control. Mine was a worn out neck bearing. This is far more dangerous on a motorcycle but it should be fixed on anything.

Before you go spending $$ on an alignment I’d check out your track bar. I’m having the same problem. I had a mopar 2” lift put on and then the v41 recall came. So I’m thinking I don’t want the dealership messing around with my suspension. So I called and asked the if they would install the dual dampner on my Jeep if I bought the part. They said no and all they were going to do for the recall is weld the nuts so they can’t come loose! So I put the duel dampner on myself. It made it worse!! So if u look at the track bar and have someone turn the wheel back and forth(just a little bit) you will see your stock trackbar is flexing! Putting on the dual dampner made it worse because there is more resistance. The stock track bar looks beefy at first look but upon further inspection it is hollow and has the ends pressed in it and crimped on! I believe this is where the wobble is coming from. I ordered a terra flex track bar and should be in tomorrow. I will post after and let y’all know if that fixes this death wobble.

Got my third damper (this one from the recall) yesterday. Drove about 50 miles yesterday on bumpy, road construction, pot hole invested DC area roads and got no wobble and felt good so I'm feeling pretty invincible right now.....
