Hinge or windshield pivot mirrors?

Is one less likely to scratch paint than the other? No plans to get different doors, but could see how the windshield pivot gives you more options for a different set of doors.

Those things vibrate like crazy, can’t stand to look at them for actually driving. I prefer the Lange coyote mirrors and they would work with doors on, but the CMM are also a good option by all accounts if going odorless.

Figure I'll go on some forest roads and trails without doors and mirrors first, then decide if it's worth investing in a set of mirrors for short stretches of public roads.

Seen the Lange Coyote and CMM recommended in the "Advice for naked" thread and elsewhere. Also saw a budget set of Lange mirrors on Quadratec, but the reviews are mixed. Not sweating it too much b/c they're cheap, it's not rocket science, and I'll have doors/stock mirrors on most of the time. Just curious for owner experiences on the budget stuff

I’m running the Lange coyote mirrors and they’ve been easy to use and great visibility at highway speeds!

Line of site is a big part too. As others have said cheapos end up almost unusable at high speed.

I have TJ mirrors on our tube doors, but I'd at least look at the Mopar doors off mirror kit in your situation. IIRC it uses standard OEM Manual mirrors.
