2019 2.0L eTorque around 63k.

How do you like the 3.6 eTorque vs the 2.0 eTorque? I've felt that the 2.0 eTorque has been the most fun engine. I had a 3.6 but never with the etorque. I need peppy acceleration for city driving. Disliked the 3.6 enough I recently ordered another vehicle but not ruling out another Rubi if things don't work out with the order, just can't do 3.6 only. Just keeping my eyes open.

Yes I do drive it! But bought used with only 4300 miles on it last year. Some may think it’s a Hanger Queen and you may be right. But this is my retirement CORVETTE and I want to keep it a long time. While the wife likes it, it is not the car that we take for trips, that’s up to the Subaru Outback. I’ll tell you for just two people going to OBX, or to the Smokey Mountains for a week or two, this gal PACKS the wagon full, with stuff even packed behind the front seats!

But here we are coming into the Fall Season where I love to drive around this season. I have a BESTOP Sunrider coming today and it’s going on and my Freedom Panels are getting packed away.
Trips to the Finger Lakes region of NY state are going to be plenty, and the Seasonal Use roads will be used.

There are important differences to note in my experience as the 2.0 was a Sahara and the 3.6 a Rubicon. Both work very well with etorque for their application.

The 2.0 had 3.45 gearing. It drove like a sports car and was a rocket on entrance ramps. Very fun to drive in town, excellent gas mileage. I also ran Rubicon takeoffs with KO2s.

The 3.6 has 4.10 gearing and Falken Wildpeak MTs. Tires alone make this a very different handling beast. The gearing feels much lower (well, duh) and not at all the same launch experience off the line. It does sound GREAT and a bit angry when I give it some throttle. Between the two engines, I think they're both responsive in city driving, the Rubicon just has to work the gears to get the same result as the 2.0. Different shift points, same transmission, different gearing. Make sense?

I've driven the 2.0 at altitude several times and thought it was a great combination for the Jeep. In three weeks, I will get my first chance with the 3.6 in the Rockies. My theory is that the etorque will help with performance where a non-etorque 3.6 feels sluggish. The rest is gearing, to me.

I always said that if I bought another Jeep and couldn't get another 2.0 etorque then I wanted the 3.6 etorque. Well, that actually happened and I'm thrilled with it. Forget the difference in gas mileage. I'm happy with the Rubicon just like I was with the Sahara. Total package, different application. All good from my perspective.

That was earlier this morning when I was driving to work. I've been driving around putzing around all my local country roads for the last 2 hours, so I'm probably closer to 27890 at this point. ;)

On day 72 of owning mine, the odometer was a few miles over 7300. We were having a lot of fun!
The daily average has dropped dramatically since summer ended, though.
