Has anyone had any experience with HAUK Skid Plate Systems?

They look tough but not sure on thickness and actual strength.

Says they are made of steel but doesn’t list thickness..

Don’t know anything about the company personally.

Apparently they can be powder coated to any of the new JL colors as well. I personally think they look sick in Firecracker Red..

LOL. They look great until the first time you go off road. Artec makes an aluminum version that should still look good after carnage.

I get that lol I’m wondering if they can withstand a beating. I’ll check out Artec for sure now that you mention them. Thanks broski

Yeah I don't think any powder coating is going to stand up to rocks off-road, which means bare metal and eventual rust. The other nice thing about the Artec model is that it actually increases ground clearance. They have you remove the factory gas tank skid and theirs sits up tighter.

Makes sense, definitely not spending the money on this build for show lol

Check out my edit. Better clearance too.
I wonder how thick their skids are.. Any idea? I would assume they would have to be fairly thick being aluminum to withstand a good thrashing

RockHard 4x4 and Metalcloak also make skids as well.
I’ll check them out! I’m in the giveaway for the metalcloak sway skid on here maybe I’ll win lol they seem pretty expensive but make a good product.
