Help with error codes

Hey guys got a 21 Willy's unlimited and the bitch won't start. Hooked up a scanner and it gives me these codes but doesn't have any info stored on em...can anyone let me know what could be the problem?

Those aren’t trouble codes. Those are the generic OBD readings that usually display when your scan tool isn’t compatible. Sometimes a bypass cable or SGW cable is required to read codes on these with a generic tool. Did you click enter after highlighting the 7E8 engine?

I did and it just says no info stored

Then you probably don’t have codes. Pretty rare that a no start throws codes right away. Start with basics. If no power/no crank start at the battery and work your way out. If it cranks but no start, start with spark and fuel and do the same.

Yeah I checked the battery and it's showing green....jumped it and it started and stayed running after the jumper was removed which makes me think the alternator is working but maybe not strong enough to charge the battery....well see just towed it too the shop....I'll update when I got info. Thanks for the help

You probably just need a battery(s). If you only have one, it's two minutes to replace it.
