Hello,

After 60k miles on the OEM brake pads, the time has come to change them so I went to a couple of online Mopar parts vendors, entered my vehicle information and boom, at least 5 different choices for brake pads, ranging in price from $60 a BProAuto set, front or rear, to Mopar sets ranging from $160 to $300, front or rear.
How can I find what part number my Jeep came with?
Do you recommend using Mopar sets or going with a different brand?
Also, is it possible to just resurface the rotors, or do I need to change those too?

Thanks a lot for you insights.

Outside of Mopar and Powerstop, I ran into issues finding both front and rear matching pads. Even Rockauto was hit and miss with the brake code for which pads to get. I didn’t want to get into me changing pads and finding the parts aren’t correct. My budget was tighter then so I got the Powerstops. Their site is VERY clear and guided by brake code.
