JLUR and i'm ordering it with the 2.0. I drove all three and liked it the best. The diesel was awesome but the added weight and expense didn't make sense for what i'm after. I will definitely be putting the aux switches and bigger alternator on it.
The trailer tow group comes with HD electrical and the 4 auxiliary switches. Get the cold weather group, too. Have fun!

In my opinion some of the worst things folks do is over do. Many people have suggested to you to start out testing the rigs abilities then slowly made mods to fit it's needs for your type of driving. There are so many treads on this forum where people have screwed the geometry of there vehicles up to the point that they chase their tail trying to right the wrong. You have a Rubicon, no need to change everything at first light. Take your time and do what you want done correctly.

The stock Rubicon 285/70R17 KO2s weigh 50 lbs each. A similar tire in 37x12.5 weighs 71 lbs each. That’s 21 x 5 = 105 lbs more weight just in tires. If you go with MTs you are looking at even more weight.

That’s before you add a lift, beef up the steering, get longer arms and driveshafts, steel bumpers, swing spare carrier and a winch.

You will end up with a 6,000-lb beast running on 37” tires... powered by a 2-liter Fiat engine.
I drove from CA to CO, did the big passes and everywhere in between with the 2.0 on 37's with stock gears (and perf mods), I love that engine. And the 8speed is a game changer.

I think the Hurricane engine is now produced in the USA for domestic applications.

I want to say, wheel it first but owning a Wrangler is all about individuality. HOWEVER , you can spend all the right money in all the wrong places. Do you need bead locks? It doesn't sound like you will go that hard. I will go down to 8-10 psi with normal rims. If you are not mashing around, you wont (shouldnt) pop a bead. A winch is a good insurance policy that you'll use maybe once a year. $10K is a lot of money to spend in aftermarket parts if you do it right. Most people will never wheel a vehicle to its potential but its a way to show off your money i guess.
Its the little things that make a build right.
I guess i'm trying to say that, the best money you can spend is the money you cant see.

$1,600 wheels
$1,800 tires
$1,800 winch
$2,000 gears
$3,000 lift kit
_____________
$10,200 not counting labor or tax or shipping.

all highball figures but you can see that depending on what brands you go with can chew up your budget quick.

I might be an oddball here, but I wouldn't spend any money on mods, yet. Any vehicle can have quirks, or be built on a friday, or otherwise have issues that makes you think it's a lemon. I'd wait til you know you like it before spending a dime on mods. I'm on my 5th new jeep, and I've only kept/modded 3 of them. The other 2 had weird problems that made me not want to be alone with them. So 3 out of 5 new jeeps were problem-free to where I liked them long term. Wait before you spend money.

2.0 on 37s. Can’t wait to see that.
2.0 on 38's. I love posting my jeep porn since learning how to do it, so you couldn't have missed it. If willing to do the supporting modifications for larger lift and tires, hell yeah you can improve the ride and handling over factory form.

Don't forget driveshafts. Eventually, the OEM ones will get sloppy pushing all that hardware around.

Your jeep is purdy.

Did you have to do anything special for the backup sensors when you transplanted them into that bumper? I'm still running the OEM bumper, but mine are either broken or aren't positioned correctly. They detect objects sometimes.

Wise advice!

My 2013 Wrangler Rubicon 2-door was like that. It was a gorgeous Commando Green with Saddle leather, color matched top, all the bells and whistles, a 2-inch Mopar lift and 35-inch tires. I absolutely loved that Jeep. But it started giving me electrical problems the day I drove it off the lot, and the issues grew in severity over the years --i.e., intermittently malfuncioning cruise control, dead battery at 18 months, two head units replaced under warranty, etc.

As the end of the 3-year warranty approached, the Jeep would refuse to start intermittently. The dealer traced it back to the TIPM acting up, and the head unit died again. At that point, I decided to sell it much to my chagrin.

Born into mechanics, so the motor choice was what I hemmed and hawed over the longest. After 3 months of back to back test drives and over 100 different jeeps driven, the 3.6 never once felt anything more than a pig unless the throttle was leaned into hard. And those were obviously all stock. 2.0 turbo for the win! It's low and mid range torque was quite noticeable and welcomed.

I had a damaged sensor bezel courtesy of a nitwit that decided to update his facebook status in traffic. He had to move to the side of the road with a crumbled grill, crimped hood, and a radiator gushing. I didn't offer any aid, but took $100 cash to not initiate a police report on a scratched bezel.

Anyways, I ordered the bezel and retaining clip from allmoparparts, which made it easier to see how the pieces go together. If I had it to do again, I'd get all new bezels and clips for the transplant, because they're never the same on the 2nd use. The sensors work just as great as before. Only thing that's off are the grid lines that were set at factory height. Sitting up higher, they no longer predict an accurate path.

Oh, and thank you for the kind words! She rides and handles as awesome as she looks.
