Seeing quite a few JL's being traded in with low miles for new 2024's. I want a 2 door next, wondering how the 3.6 etorque has been? They have a longer warranty for the etorque system, right?

Going on three years of ownership and 30,000 miles and it’s been flawless. I average roughly 19 mpg in mixed driving conditions and about 22 on the highway. Only engine choice I would have gotten instead is the diesel.

So far, most, if not all, the feedback I’ve read on this forum for either eTorque engine has been extremely positive. Most of the negative comments are hypothetical.

I personally avoided it when I ordered my 2022, but that is because I felt it would be easier to manage the complexities and maintenance of the 2.0T without eTorque, than it would be if there are ever issues specific to the eTorque system.

Something else to keep in mind, is that the 48v battery will eventually have to be replaced, but they’re expected to have something like an 8-10 year lifespan.
