Having Trouble Installing Brackets for Hard Top

So I bought a Rubicon 4xe soft top thinking that I'll just keep my hard top off my old '18 JLU and use that. I was aware that it wouldn't come with the brackets. However, it looks like it doesn't even have the holes I need to mount the bracket above the windshield. The plastic trim up there adjacent to the mirror on either side has what look like removable tabs/cutouts for mounts there, but there are absolutely no holds to screw the plates/brackets in? This point above the rearview mirror would be where the foremost edges of the freedom panels would latch when mounted. Am I missing something? I can try to take video or pics later.

I just did this on mine last week. The holes definitely should be there. You need to pull the trim all the way down, and it's still a tight fit, but it's doable.

For those "cut outs", there are screws on the inside to remove those to allow the brackets to pass through when you push the trim back into place.

If you have a set of these (below), it will be much easier. It's a really tight fit in there unless you want to remove your mirror and completely remove the trim. Otherwise, if you have a compact torx socket set you may be able to get to it easier from the front, by dropping the windshield.

The holes are underneath the trim piece and you have to unclip and drop it to be able to feel them. It is a tight fit but a 90* ratchet works really well for installation.
