Had the update done on Friday (first at my dealership too) and it passed. Everything seemed fine this weekend, but today I pulled out onto a road in electric mode and the vehicle just... would not accelerate. Like I pushed the gas pedal and nothing - even if i pushed it all the way to the floor. Weirdly, when I took my foot off the gas I would hear what almost sounded like it trying to accelerate, which is odd. RPM were all over the place too.

This happened for like 10+ seconds with me being like wtf and then suddenly it went electric mode unavailable and switched to hybrid mode.

After getting back in my car it did it again. I could get up to like 45mph, but after that? No dice. I couldn't get past 25-40% on the %PWR dial and it sounded and felt like it was struggling overall. I didnt have a full charge today, so ill be charging overnight and if it's still doing it tomorrow, ill be calling the dealership

Now after getting home, i turned the car off then put it back in RUN (ignition/electronics on, engine off) and the check engine light is flashing and chiming at me before staying on solidly. Goes away when engine starts. My dad thinks that's normal, but i dont remember that ever happening before with this jeep or my past cars.

Starting to wonder if i should charge it tonight and call the dealership tomorrow if it still is acting up or call tonight before they close. I'm exhausted by all this at this point 😮💨

Not sure if this is related or not, no mention of check engine light. Let us know what you find out, or if it self-corrects somehow.

Interesting, I dont think it's that because it's not giving me the FORM message and it's definitely had fresh fuel pretty often lately - including late last week. If it's doing it still when i go out this morning, ill be calling them. I may take it to advanced auto parts as well to see if it is throwing any codes for the CEL

CEL flashing before start means the emission monitors aren't set. They are reset during the flash updates and subsequent DTC clearing. Ignore that.

The other issue you mentioned seems random and I've heard of it before with the most recent software updates. Not sure if there's any actual fix without a CEL being thrown.

This same thing is happening to me now. Anyone else experiencing it after passing the recall?
Has been an issue since the 95B software levels. No acknowledgement that I've seen from Stellantis regarding it. Double check that the dealer actually updated your TCM to the latest revision. The latest TCM update explicitly calls out loss of motive power.

Helpful. thank you. I have my print out of the recall. I'll see if i can find anything in that and call in the morning.

2 days in a row now and very predictable.

Just because it's on the paperwork does not mean it was actually completed. You'll need to swing by the dealer and have them plug wi-tech in to verify.

I got the recall “fix” done on mine a few weeks ago. Never had any problems before the fix and it was running fine after the fix. When I started the Jeep yesterday, the gas engine went on right away and then everything just shut off at the end of my driveway.

I let it sit for a few hours and then I got it to start again. Drove it to the dealership near my house and left the key in the dropbox. Only a few miles away. It was struggling to go over 25-30mph on the way there. Max Regen, Air Conditioning, and a few other things not working on the way there. Battery stayed at 100% for the whole drive.

Service Advisor called me and said they're working on diagnosing now.

"A case has been opened through Stellantis for you. It will need a battery - system states Replace HV Battery Pack. When I get more information, I will notify you ASAP"

:CWL:🤣😆😂

Dropped off our GC 4xe for 68C and picked up a loaner for the Wrangler while I was there. 2026 Compass. At least I can park it in the garage.

I had the 68C recall visit at the end of December. The report from the service call said it passed the battery test. A week or so later it wouldn't shift out of park and gave the message "service charging system". I took it back to the dealer and they said it needs a new battery. Waiting on that now.

I picked up the Grand Cherokee today. It "passed" the 68C recall, test, patch, update - or whatever it really is. I'm sure it'll fail in a few weeks just like the Wrangler did.

I asked about the Wrangler while I was there. He said they have a star case open but haven't been able to order the battery yet. They need to submit more diagnostics before it'll let them order the replacement.

Can't wait to hear what the solution for 78C is.

The 12V are dying with the 4xe sitting for weeks waiting for the replacement high voltage battery, and owners are being forced to pay for a new 12v and labour.

In many cases the 68C is costing owners a lot of money, oil changes, 12v battery, this is insane.

Have to bring the Grand Cherokee back in already. The battery doesn't hold a charged. It lost almost 20% overnight.

My Wrangler is doing this intermittently and losing about ~10% in the HV battery / day. They reinstalled the software update once and that fixed it for about a week and then the issues came back. Seems like others are also experiencing this with no resolution from Jeep yet. It is not a 12v battery issue as others who have replaced their 12v or have recently new 12vs are also having this issue.
