Saw my first one in Tampa today in the wild.

Riding bike home from Starbucks this am, happily listening to music on the bluetooth speaker, it passed me. JLUR with I think Michigan plates. Realized by the tail lights and the bumper.

Made me all happy, as was just thinking about my JLUR which is en route to Florida from Toledo right now...

Saw my first on the road here in Winnipeg, and to be honest, it didn't stand out. We still have snow and slop on the roads so every vehicle is filthy, including this JL. I was behind it and it was the tail lights that caught my attention. I thought I recognized the black covers over the blind side sensors, but I still wasn't sure it was a JL. It wasn't until I pulled in front, and looked in my mirror, that I saw the fender mounted turn signals.

I have previously seen JLU's in showrooms, where I thought they looked significantly better than my JK. In hindsight, I think much of my reaction was due to the interior which looked like a stunning step up from my 2010 JKR. However, in the wild, this showroom impact doesn't translate. The filthy JLU I saw was virtually indistinguishable from a filthy JK that was two vehicles behind.

None of this diminishes my desire for the new JL since I know how much better of a vehicle it is than my current JKR. My decision to put in an order for a first year JLR has nothing to do with wanting a head turner, but instead, wanting the technical improvements that will address the few complaints I had about my JKR. I'm still like a kid before Christmas with anticipation for my 2dr JLR, particularly with the drama associated with production delays.

However, at the end of the day, I'd wager good money that 9 out of 10 people who have never owned a Wrangler cannot visually differentiate a JK from a JL on the road.

I've seen three and I've been from San Diego to LA and a little into CO. I received a call today from a local sales guy I met 2 months ago when I stopped on going to see a JL. He was excited to tell me that they JUST got one in. His excitement waned when I told I scooped up the first in my model/color choice that arrived in town. He was actually really nice and excited for me though.

I’ve seen and driven my dads friends Sahara. He bought the first one on his local dealers’ lot and brought it by when he found out I ordered one. Only seen one in my town a little north of Boston.

There's one about a mile from my house. It's always in the driveway when I go by and I always ride the brake and stare, imagining that it's my 2-Door Ocean Blue that is forever sitting in D status!

I've only seen a family leave the dealer in their newly purchased silver Sahara as I was test driving one. Otherwise, none on the road but I'm constantly looking!

I saw my first one a couple of days ago in the parking lot of a local restaurant. Never did see the owner, wanted to ask how they liked it. Ilive in southeast Tx. near the coast. I hope the next one I see is mine

I've seen photos of a couple in my area but as of yet I have only seen mine driving around. It's interesting, in all my previous Wranglers I had people walk up and talk about them. 07 Sport Unlimited people were interested in the four doors, 09 JKR people just wanted to talk jeeps, 12 Crush JKRU it was the color that brought them up. I've had the JLRU for three weeks now and not a single person has seemed interested. Surprising given its a new model.

I haven't driven by any JLs yet but I know the Dealer I got mine has sold several already. I did test drive their very first JL they recieved, pretty much fresh off the truck but it was 3 or 4 weeks later when I made the purchase.

I have seen 3 over the past 2 weeks. All of the different. 2 Saharas and 1 Sport .... no Rubis yet. The funny think is I thought they where JKs at first. As much as they look way different to me in photos in person they are not as noticeable.
