Thanks for the suggestion. Auctions are such a crap shoot. Case in point, the immaculate J55 selling there right now. You can't even buy one of these in Japan that's half as nice for its current bid. Hope for the sellers sake it has a reserve.
I own one. That's a hell of a price. One of the cleanest and best examples of one I have seen to boot. I paid more than the current bid for mine, in Japan.
Newly imported Japanese Mitsubishi J55 Turbo diesel Jeep. Based off the CJ3B and licensed to Mitsubishi for sale in Japan from 53-98. Unstoppable little beast with an I4 turbo diesel with low miles! Wasn't available to bring to the US until March of this year, a rare and unique ride.

Bought a JLRU with a few options a few months ago, recently found out Im going overseas for a few years. What kind of price could I expect selling? Unable to find much online.

Any info anyone might have...
IIRC, the Rubicon comes with a big brake kit stock. Where these improvements based on the stock big brake kit or the Sahara/Sport brakes? How much improvement could one expect coming from the Rubicon brakes? Sorry if this was addressed in the video, I am unable to watch it at work.
I'm getting 17 MPG driving like a grandma in my 18 JL, 100 miles a day average speed around 40-45, half mileage on the interstate, very few lights all around. 25-26 would be amazing to see.
How do your steps mount and are they functional sliders/viable jack mount points? Still looking for step/slider combo options for protection and to make the wife and kids happy.
I now have close to 13K miles on a stock manual JKRU. I dont have a heavy foot and my mileage is still around 17.5 hand calculated 18 per on board display. I drive ~100 miles a day first half interstate, second half split between 60 and 45. No idea how anyone in a Rubi is getting over 18...
iirc the JLs went through a 24-48 hour "weather" test where a sprinkler was ran over an open jeep for the duration. Everything held up without issue. I'll see if I can find the article I got that info from.
I figured a rubber boot around the lines would keep almost all the water out. It looks like the water entered at the hinges, and there was a lot of it. I was unintentionally at a hard angle with the left side in the water. Water line was mid door driver side, passenger side still dry. Deep...
The only place it would drain was at the bottome hinge so I had to have it hanging weird. Still hanging right now. Havent checked to see if it's all out yet.
Went out this weekend had some fun. Got a little sideways in some water. Got home and got everything cleaned up and when I shut my door I heard a LOT of sloshing around. Turns out there was more than a gallon of water inside my driver door...aren't the doors themselves supposed to be sealed? I...
