Wow, ya made me look, $5,400 on the 4-door, I think that's up $1,100. Glad I got mine last year as well

My guess is not enough people order them. The people that want them want them. I would do the same thing if I was them, it’s expensive to keep going mine as well make it worth it to offer the doors. Not saying it’s fair, but yeah

I wouldn’t have bought without the half doors. And my full doors will never be used, likely not even the soft uppers since my Jeep will just sit in the garage if weather isn’t nice. For me it was all about the feeling of the older Jeeps like my TJ, and like it better than going doorless.

However for most people, getting the half door package on a base sport is still worth it since it gives you power windows, power mirrors and power locks cheaper than going to a Sport S, so it’s still worth the markup for most people who don’t need a loaded optioned vehicle, as they can buy the cheapest model and still get a vehicle with power features, though it really should be a larger markup on base models and less expensive on upper models due to the power features it adds.

They should offer them from the factory INSTEAD of full doors if you are ordering a soft top. This was done years ago and so many people wanted that option. Hoping they do it again. I had to buy 4 half doors to be able to use just the front two on my JL 2dr. What am I supposed to do with two rear half doors now? LOL

Also crappy that only certain colors you are able to get half doors also...Anvil is on you can't choose the dual door option.
I really wanted an anvil with SOT and 1/2 doors. Neither available means no order for now. Earl doesn’t have 1/2 doors either.

Holy smokes I just looked and that does appear to be the case. So both sets of doors (full and half) will be all power even if ordering a base? I was set on a Willys mainly for the 4.10's and LEDs, but I would be okay forgoing those if I could get power windows and locks if the half door package adds this. I care more about the open driving experience than offroading. I DO want power locks and windows though. This may have made me move from a Willys to a base Sport!

I missed the introduction of the new half door/soft upper option by just a couple of weeks. Had they been available, I'd have added them to my factory order. As it was, though, any rumors of their introduction were being denied by FCA until the day they were finally released.

That said, the half doors' get-rich-quick pricing (for which both Stellantis and Marketplace sellers are culpable), the addition of unwanted power features and the inability to purchase the door sets a la carte has made it a bit easier to make peace with their absence on my JLU.

Yes, I bought a base sport, only option being the dual door package and I got power windows on the full doors, and both full and half doors have power locks and power mirrors.

It’s still cheaper adding the half doors than going up to a Sport S if all you want is power windows, locks and mirrors

(all that wasn’t important to me I just wanted the half doors, but nice to get for no additional cost)

Not surprising considering all of the other price increases. It's another one of those "they will pay if they want it bad enough" things that Stellantis is gonna milk out of its buyers.

I can think of a few reasons why Jeep doesn't sell the OEM 1/2 doors separately:

They are tied to the VIN? (at least that what I've noticed on all unopened boxes on various sale listings)

Maybe they paint them at the same time as the rest of the vehicle, so there are no color mismatches?

Fitment issues, since they are basically the full doors with tops cut off?

Or just simply a shipping nightmare for quality control?

Or they are just a******s ?

That’s super cool! Definitely changes things for me. Never thought I would need half doors but maybe I do ?
