Folks - Headed over to Nashville later today.

Question I had was - What is the standard drill when I pick up my Sahara?
Check tire pressure?
Do a test drive?
Do a 360 check for any damages?
Anything else?
Excited for you! Most importantly take your time. Renee won't pressure you to go quickly, but will walk away to do something else or kindly request you to do something specific at times. Walter won't either when he tells you about the extended warranty.

I had downloaded the forum checklist and did it on my previous car for practice. A few of the things are too specific but overall it's good just so you remember stuff you normally take for granted.

The most important two are the fuse box and tire pressure as most people here experienced issues. I didn't notice anything else besides those amiss, though I didn't test drive but probably should've...I stayed in Nashville another night anyway.

Make sure to download offline Google Maps for your ride back if you're taking some back roads. And yeah even after you're done buying, take a tour, look at all the trims, take pictures.

Not sure if Daniel is back from vacation, so Renee will probably take care of you before passing you off to Walter (F&I).

She will want you to setup your Jeep account on your phone.

My tire pressure was 41. Renee dropped it to 36 for me.

I did a quick look over, but again, if there's an issue, realistically what can you do about it except have them document it.

I did not test drive mine, but would have turned around if I noticed an issue.

Be amazed how they don't try to screw you.

Be nice to them cuz it's been a hell of a ride for them.

Find out for us what their current promotion is for 2022's (% off invoice)

Take lots of photos.

Look for any Hella's lighting up the lot and if you see one, be amazed at it's beauty. ?

Most of all, have fun!
Thought I remember you posting that you're getting rid of that Hella next year? It seems so right for you

As of right now, that's still the plan but the equation keeps changing.

I paid $34K and change. Carvana is still offering me $3k more than I paid. And KBB is nuts on their appraisal.

But then we have:
Loss of Affiliate Discount
Possible lower off-invoice discount
No colors I'd consider as of right now
Continuation of chip and magnesium shortage may cause spring build issues.

I would like to repeat my Gupton experience tho.

How long was it at the vendor adding additional options? Mine has been there for a week. I only added one touch top and alpine 8.4/premium sound

I just go bumped to 11/4-11/18. Crud. I was originally told 10/25-11/8, then 10/29-11/8, now 11/4-11/18.

That is a pretty high valuation! Still trying to figure out how I'm selling my old car (I have two friends that are interested), but the Carvana quotes are pretty wild. Any reason you're considering changing up what you have? Priorities change after your initial order?

2021 Wrangler Rubicon 2 Door - Just Ordered!
I stopped by Gupton today to get a picture or 2 of my 2 door Rubicon before the lift and 35’s are done. Pick up is scheduled for Tuesday. Here are a few photos of the lot. It was lightly raining so I didn‘t take too many….oh, and zero yellow Jeeps

Yeah, the KBB quote is stupid, BUT definitely something to use when I sell. I mean, I didn’t make up the KBB numbers, there they are on the Internet for all to see, they are just high AF for some reason.

Looking at changing for a few reasons, in order of importance.

> Spousal interest in the Jeep now that we have it. Before she was pretty much indifferent. Now that she might drive it, I don't want her to have to crank windows.

> Value continues to be several thousand more than I paid.

> Certain life changes have made the extra few thousand I'll have to spend less of an issue. That said I still expect it to be well under $40K. I'm not having a car payment.

> I don't see myself driving anything else from here on out. The issues that initially frightened me have proven pretty much non-issues for the most part (Steering/Handling, gas mileage, build quality, if id even like the vehicle)

Still irritated at some of the small quality things and concerned about long-term issues, but like many, I'm willing to overlook for now.

> My biggest concern now is color choices. Nothing currently available excites me in the slightest. Hoping for some new, poppin colors soon.

OOOH That blue 4xe with the steel bumper just might be mine! I'm picking her up Monday.

Take the money and run if you have another vehicle to use. Order a 2022 from Gupton. I would buy roller skates to temporary get around with if you can get that KBB price!
