I’m 100% pro Guptons. My first Jeep purchase, but did shop around at several dealerships before ordering and Renee/Daniel are top notch.

As far as pickup wait times, mine was quick, but there were hardly any Jeeps on the lot when I went in mid March. The levy of transit trucks must have finally broke.

Hopefully, others won’t have the month > shipping wait that some of us did.

Extended warranty?

Any suggestions on best deals for purchasing an extended warranty?

Found this on the forum and went with them this week. Not sure youll find a better offer anywhere. Make sure to add PAYINFULL for the $365 off. Oh, and we just got it online, didn’t contact Tom.

Mine arrived the same day that your did and I just did the DocuSign paperwork today. Yours is probably going to come either tomorrow or Monday.
Renee did tell me that they can’t do the DocuSign until the Jeep goes through PDI. She said that one of their techs broke his arm and another one was out with a sick child so that left one guy to PDI the 200+ Jeeps that have arrived the past two weeks.
UPDATE: Docusign received, check in mail, all is good…..ahhhhhhhh.

I'm so torn on this. I've never purchased an extended warranty ever. But the tech in this Jeep frightens me from the stand point I can't fix it because I don't have the computer tools necessary to do so.

Also with the mechanical portion and the way stuff is crammed in it, most more complicated repairs I would have to go the the local Stealer. Dealer service rates around here seem to be around $160 an hour.

So I'm trying to decide, pay $2500 for an 8yr 125,000 mile (in reality a 5 year/89,000) warranty or just dropping $200 a month in a savings account and self insure.

Has anyone purchased and used the Maximum Care Plan?

What I really want is the bumper/bumper factory plan that comes with it extended. So I take it in, they fix it with no bullshit.

Probably isn't such a thing.

Agreed, I was picked up at the hotel since I flew in the night before and we picked up someone else at the airport before we drove back to Guptons. I let the other guy go first since he was driving back that day. I was staying in Nashville that night some could do the down town that night. Cruised all the bars on Broadway. Liked Roberts the best, the kid on the guitar is really good and only 21. Wish I could load the video I have of him playing.

We just traded in my wife's subaru at 116,000 miles. It had a 7ry/100k plan that more than paid for itself, and then it developed an oil leak that was going to cost almost $5k to repair (motor had to be dropped to replace the front cover). Needless to say, her new subaru has a 8yr/120k warranty. My Jeep will be getting a 8yr/125k warranty. All it takes is one good fix to cover the cost of the warranty, and with all the electronics and computer controlled gadgets in it, well worth the insurance, IMHO.

And these plans are essentially the bumper to bumper warranty. They cover everything not specifically excluded from the plan:

Can I extend my Mopar bumper to bumper coverage?

Yes, Maximum Care Extended Warranty is a service contract that extends your manufacturers bumper-to-bumper coverage.

Virtually the only parts and labor NOT covered:

  • Maintenance Services and items used in such services
  • Glass and Plastic Lenses
  • Body and Paint items (including)
  • Snowplows, Winches and Trailer Hitches
  • Wear items (such as Tires, Manual Clutch Assembly, Brake Pads, Shoes, Rotors, Drums, Belts, Exhaust, and Wipers)
  • Catalytic Converter, Particulate Filter, and Exhaust

I just went through Mopar direct on my 2021 rubicon that was only 6 months old and 5k miles.
I got the 8/85 for $1190. you can actually go right to the sight and get a quote without talking to anyone. you actually do better if you get the warranty while you have less than 12000 miles.

I did take a $200 deductible and Maxcare vs Jeep mom's 100 Deductible.

I have never believed in warranties, but I see it also as a hedge against salary and parts inflation for the next 8 years. If the jeep runs great and I lose my shirt on the warranty, i will still be happy....
