trying to order, i sent them an email based on the build. Do i call or is this all done by email?
All done by email. I spoke with Renee who was more responsive than Daniel but Daniel sent me the deposit link once done.

Both will call you back if you leave a message, but its doubtful you will get them if you call. They are hammered all day, every day.

I did both of my deals exclusively by Email.

So I don't have to bug Daniel with a needless question: when should I get a VON? I see an area for it on the build sheet he sent me before I put my deposit down, but don't know when I should expect to get 1. I submitted to him on the 8th. I know they're swamped but didn't know if it would be a week or 2 or just a few days? Also, it's a Gobi and I think someone said those won't even start to be built until May.
Same - I placed deposit on 4/9 - Renee sent email on the 10th saying to give her a week and follow up. which I did first thing this morning asking for an update VIN/VON etc. Trying to be patient :) if no reply today, I will call and leave msg

I picked up my Jeep in TN first thing Monday morning and drove back to Southern Utah arriving Wednesday afternoon. The trip log is below. Overall, a nice drive, except for a cracked windshield (yes, Gorilla glass) that happened in the first few hours of the drive. Nearly 25 mpg - not to shabby.

What color is that? I can't make it out. Congrats on picking it up finally :) Sucks to hear about the glass though.

ordered the jeep April 15 and had my CC charged. I am now officially in the Gupton waiting room! I got my Von/Vin on 4/22/22! This is for my wife
two questions . One I see is open question from another post.

1. now what do I do with the Vin? how do I get updates? is there a place to check?
2. It's already in C status. Did that mean it blew by D status and I should be getting excited?

it's a HV yellow manual sport S with LED lights a trailering package. and cold weather group
it sounds pretty basic so I am hoping to beat the curve,, but not counting on it.
(it actually has everything my wife wanted). My 2021 JLR is a little more in the option department obviously

Use your VIN# to request updates from Jeep Chat
They get paid to answer questions... They way I looked at it, the more I chatted = job security for them...
Once jeep chat informed me shipping status of "in route to dealer" I emailed Daniel to confirm he was showing the same delivery date range. This allowed me to "preplan" travel arrangements although nothing I was committed to (I booked airfare with no change restrictions etc..) I planned my pickup date for 2 weeks after the latest anticipated delivery date provided...So chat/Daniel confirmed delivery date range was say 3/20 - 4/1
I made arrangements anticipating 4/16 pickup

2. BE PREPARED FOR A WILD RIDE... highly likely you'll be bumped back one or more x's throughout the process so don't get to excited and you won't get utterly disappointed

I ordered my wife's 1st jeep from Gupton and we picked it up last weekend...
Congratulations and enjoy the ride!!!

40Caliber ,
I couldn't get the link to work so I went old school and just did copy/paste
Below is what I posted on the recommended dealers thread regarding our purchase experience with Gupton. You can ignore the part recommending Gupton LOL... But hopefully the other stuff may be of some assistance. I'm extremely grateful for the knowledge gained via this forum and I'm certainly obliged to pay it forward.

The wife and I picked up her Rubi 4xe from Gupton Motors this past weekend and from start to finish I've never had a better experience purchasing a vehicle. Of course when you paid 7% below invoice ,especially in today's world , that seems pretty easy to say. But when you drive off the lot feeling like you'd have damn near paid MSRP for the top-notch customer service you've experienced there's only a couple logical explanations:

A. The Tennessee Whiskey *
or
B. The folks at Gupton Motors truly are the best in the business

Here's contact info and synopsis of the deal received from Gupton
Daniel and Renee are great at what they do... Just straight up, honest, genuinely good people and I highly recommend them

OUR DEAL
-7% below invoice - 5% forum + 1% tread lightly + 1% dealer arranged finance
-Interest Rate as of 4/16 - on average 3.99% @ 72 months -( it is possible to negotiate slightly lower with 780 to 800 plus credit and/or lower length of loan terms... keep in mind rates are going up drastically nationwide as fed raises/market adjusts
- they will lock in and honor agreed price once deposit is paid. (our sticker price went up roughly 2k by the time we got POC/took delivery...don't freak out if this happens your agreed price is what you'll pay)
-you could pay less than agreed price-tread lightly discount was not valid when we ordered but returned before build was complete... we received the additional 1%... also any factory rebates or coupons you may be eligible for will be discounted when you finalize paperwork
-they will match prices quoted for extended warranty.. get a few quotes and take your lowest
-They are super busy so be patient and please don't be rude if you don't get a reply the same day.
Remember you're getting the best deal possible on a sweet ride. Ask yourself how long you'd continue to do the same in your line of work if constantly berated by a bunch of assholes...
- Email is your best contact method... I never called and did everything via email... Again they are super busy and trust me it can be hard.... But once you've agreed on $ and pay deposit, try not to bug the shit out of them looking for updates...out of respect for their time and also all the great guys/gals that spend hours on this forum teaching yahoo's like myself what do... Otherwise at some point the headache won't be worth the incentive...
- Get your updates from jeep chat... these guys get paid for people to bug the shit out of them.. Chat em Up... hell I did 2 or 3 x's a day when i thought it was getting close to shipping stage..
- Finalize travel arrangements and schedule pickup/paperwork time slot the minute you get the "its here" email from Renee... She'll send a form to complete and the sooner you return it the better
- Gupton offers pickup service (airport/hotel) but that effects what time you can schedule pickup
(they'll most likely be picking up more than just you)
- Use Lyft instead and pre-book (we did about 10 days in advance) your ride once your travel and Gupton pickup times are confirmed... it cost us less than $35 bucks from Nashville to Gupton... they show up within 15 minutes or so of your pre-booked requested time
- You really want to be the 1st or 2nd at Gupton's especially if you're hitting the road back home

Most of all enjoy the ride... the build order process is just like a Jeep on your favorite trails ..
ONE HELL OF AN ADVENTURE !!!!

* Plenty of A was consumed throughout... However my stone cold sober wife agrees 1000% percent
B was in fact the correct the answer

More than happy to help!
A couple of more things I should have mentioned.
As far as stage goes.. "gathering parts" and "all parts gathered in line to be built" were our longest... FYI I don't recall jeep chat responding with D or D1 status etc.. And to be quite honest I had a hard time with the whole letter system so I just went by the Jeep chat "stage"
By far the craziest for us was shipping... When you hit this stage it sorta seems like specified/defying terms go out the window and each jeep chat rep responds a little different. Like others have said the updates are pretty vague and don't hesitate to follow up with another question or flat ask them what the heck they really mean....
At some point the shipping update will be "in route to dealer" along with the delivery timeframe.... that's the golden ticket and this is when I emailed Daniel to confirm he was showing the same....
The good news on shipping is Gupton gets a lot of delivers
Additional bad news about shipping is that Gupton gets a lot of delivers LOL
Keep hitting jeep chat for updates and eventually you get the response "we show it should have arrived to dealer as of ___" (for us ___ was the day before) Gupton gets a lot of delivers it was another 4 or 5 days later that Gupton officially acknowledge jeep was in fact really there... Emailing Daniel or Renee will get you a "its not here response" and a waste of time.... Just know it's a pretty safe bet your order has delivered and the "its here" email from Renee is coming in the next few days...

Whoa. I'd shoot them an Email.
Both mine were a couple days after I found out they had dropped until I got the text.

They are so backed up now, they may be holding off a bit longer as they know people will be anxious to pick it up and they might not have any delivery slots left right now.
