Wait, what, I just realized this is for the old Uconnect system, I have a 24 on order so hopefully this has been corrected!

I'd offer to open up a thread over at the Stellantis Connectivity forums for you, but they'd only use it as a way to try and get you to pay a monthly fee for "grammar updates".

Otherwise, if you actually want to report it, you should contact someone at uConnect support. Just be sure to tell them to escalate the issue, because it's super important and on a screen you'll only ever see once or twice while owning the vehicle ?

English is important but engineering is importanter.

Speaking of which, perhaps this was a conscious decision in the programming? Honestly haven't looked too closely at the text for the rest of the interface, but even today, not all systems properly support text outside of standard alphanumeric and a few special characters (usually dot, dash, parenthesis and underscore are allowed with the rest, including apostrophes avoided).

Probably not the case since the text allows for spaces, but it's hard to say since uConnect is likely a proprietary embedded QNX platform and not your standard consumer OS like Windows or Android. Or more than likely, one of the developers has the proper filename etiquette to avoid such characters and this was inadvertently carried over into the UI text purely out of habit.

Someone needs to take theirs in to the service Dept on April 1 and request it to be fixed under warranty. That conversation on April Fools day would be priceless.

Anyone notice when punching in a destination for the OEM nav and as it tells you it's searching within the state, the text that appears will have added slashes between the single quotes?

Searching in /'Colorado/'...

I got a kick out of this when I saw it for the first time because escaping quotes was something you did when defining or echoing strings in code that you didn't want to terminate prematurely. However, someone screwed up here when writing these lines and they haven't bothered to fix it after all these years.

Alternatively, are there any apostrophes used in the rest of the system? It could be a choice by the UI designers to improve readability. Just a thought, not an excuse.

Why would you think that Android or Apple have anything to do with this? Note that you forgot to put quotes around "upgrade".
