It's crazy how things go. I bought my '20 two door sting Grey Rubicon new, and loved it! I Had to replace the 3.6 @ around 120k, the radiator fan at around 80k, and the radiator itself at 200k. I payed it off a week and a half ago, and Monday the tranny started acting weird, Tuesday it went into limp mode, said service throttle body.
Well shit.
I hope continue to use the '20 as a farm/work vehicle. The good news is I picked up a bitchin' '26 Hydro blue four door late yesterday. Driving it home I realized just how wore out my poor' 20 was. I got nothing else, just happy with the new jeep and wanted to share. Peace!

May my 2020 JLUR last as long. I'm only at 110,000 miles but plan on keeping it forever (or maybe until they put a gas engine in the Recon).

You replaced the engine at 120? How much was that?

That's a nice Jeep. Also, that hood scoop is beginning to grow on me. (But not enough for me to be jealous!) Enjoy that feeling of "AHHHHH...." :)

t's amazing what you "put up with" when you drive an old vehicle for a long time.

My 2024 felt like a space ship after driving a TJ for 18 years. The move from the 2024 to the 2026 wasn't as dramatic, but the 2026 does have leather seats and the Alpine stereo.

Looking back, it was closer to 140k. It cost right around 12k for a new long block. I also had the dreaded lifter tick, fixed that 8 months before the engine blew.

So what all is wrong with the transmission? Everything I’ve heard about the 8 speed (if that’s what you have) is that it is great

Yes, 8 speed auto. It's starting to shift rough, especially between 7-8th, hunting a bit in 6-7th
207k on it.
