Rotties are amazing. Such funny, lovable oafs. We have one we call a Pygmy Rottie because she’s pretty small (pretty sure he’s mixed with blue heeler). They are very loyal and great with kids.

Personally, I'm always cautious of making firm plans to follow on after a four-wheeling trip.

Stucks, flats, breakdowns, road blockages all happen to wreak havoc on a schedule. Time pressure to keep a commitment can lead to riskier decision making in a challenging situation. And it's usually in areas where there's no coverage, and thus no way to communicate that I'll be delayed or unable to attend after all.

That's just me. I'm more risk averse than a lot of folks. Your life, your commitments, your choices.
