Update: Gold Mountain gatekeeper bypass closed!

About time!!! The barrier preventing bypassing the Gold Mountain gatekeeper has finally been put in. This should help with trail congestion a bit.

They posted some more pics on TOR. Looks like they used cement to fill in the huge hole at the start as well as some between the boulders to keep them from shifting around.

I mean the FJ's would have never been on the trial that where behind us at the beginning

I will say i am glad they added the cement to the first section of rocks though should help keep it from getting undercut to bad

Agreed. The bad thing is there would have been a good chance we'd have been stuck behind the FJs while they bounced around for an hour if the bypass was closed when we ran the trail.

Yup, but it’s quite a bit harder than the trail. I figure they would want it close but then again that gate keeper looks extremely hard when you first pull up to it.
