On my JLUR, each door had clear plastic tape over each of the water drain holes. They were slit to apparently let water drain out. I would take a picture and show you all, but I already removed them thinking they were some sort of factory packaging that the dealer forgot to remove. Anyone else have these or know why they are there? If you had them, did you remove them? If they shouldn't be removed, what are they for? TIA

I had them on my JLUR too. I think the tape over the weep holes on the bottom of the doors was supposed to be taken off during the dealer prep. Not sure what the purpose was, but I removed mine. The tape was just going to collect dirt, dust and mud.

Mine are still there. My guess is that they're there to restrict the flow rate of the water coming out. Either way, I didn't mess with it.

Here you are.... yes on all doors even the rear. Why hole back water, get it out.

Small so water can get out, and small so things like bugs can’t go in. That’s my guess.

They had weep holes, but no tape.
My guess, future Wranglrts will have weep holes shaped the same as the tape cover. The tape is some engineers bright idea.

I left mine on also. I would like to know if they should be removed. They don't seem strong enough to last very long anyway.

I found them today when I was attempting to spray some Corrosion X into the doors and the pinch welds on the bottom of the Jeep. I poked a bigger hole in one tape and tried to take it off. The tape is really sticky and I had a hard time getting it off. I left the others alone and just sprayed through the little slit.
