do not use rain x
Herb: just to clarify, is it your adversity to "garden variety" Rain-x on the plastic windows that you suggest avoiding, or even the version of Rain-x discussed here for plastic windows that you also suggest avoiding.

Thoughts on why? Thanks.

I've used this several times since I got my jeep with no problem. I like to hit the windows with it before I use any cleaning or treatment chemicals on the soft top.
