I'm in the same boat, and I honestly stopped looking at Jeeps for a while. The used pricing makes no sense - I might as well just buy new. I'm not sure who's buying them but it's definitely not me.
I even showed one of the used dealers how I could price a brand new one and at Invoice -5%...
I've been dealing with this in Texas for the last few weeks. I don't understand why anyone would buy used at this point. The prices between new and used are <$2,000. If you're paying $40k+ for a vehicle, an additional $2k for a brand new vehicle seems like a no brainer.
I have a dealer that...
There's a 2018 I really like. All the options I wanted. Automatic and hard top, which I don't want.
MSRP is 53.5. They have it for 45.
Thoughts on the price? Also, any big differences between the 2018s and 2019/20? Am I better off getting a newer one?
I had an early JL.. made in March. It was a great vehicle, but what drove me away was all the frame issues. My frame looked worse than a lot of the ones that were posted and had recall work done, but because I wasn't in the recall window, Jeep wouldn't do anything.
So between that and some...
Can anyone look at my pictures and let me know what you think of my welds? My jeeps falls within the timeframe of some of the other jeeps posted here with issues, but is not part of the recall.

I'm confused about how only some JLs are impacted. If they had to remove some current vehicles, and a bunch of older vehicles had the problem, what about the vehicles in the middle? How did we magically escape this problem?
Can't believe no one has taken you up on this.. makes me want to do the drive up there from Fort Worth, but I'm about to travel for work for 2 weeks and don't have time.
I've had an LJ and a JKU before this JLU. Those wandered a little bit, but in having driven the JLU since March now, I forgot how little the JKU wandered (compared to the JLU) and how little of a dead spot that it had until I got back in the seat of one. My JLU is a lot worse than this JKU...
I didn't think this was an issue until I got into my JKU rental while on vacation. I must've forgot how my old JKU felt like. It's a stark difference between steering on the JK and the JL.
I also just did it. Honestly, removing the tail light is extremely simple. You pop a panel in the back, unscrew the tail light screw, and it slides right out. I installed my fuel door in <10 mins and that was with my 3 year old "assisting".
