I got one of the parallel connectors with the 30 amp RV and twist lock outlet on it to run between 2 Yamaha inverter generator units. Am I correct that the regular 120v plugs on the generator acan be used for the higher wattage instead of the special outlets? Trying to run a mid size portable air conditioner that has a surge above the capacity of just one of the generator alone. Please limit response to answer as cell data is limited

With a parallel kit panel properly connected and energized, all electrical loads are intended to be connected to and powered exclusively by the panel's outlets.

The point of the kit is to safely consolidate the now-doubled wattage output, which will not be available on the individual generators' 120V duplex receptacles.

Specialized extension cords are available with 20 or 30 amp twist-lock NEMA plugs on one end, and standard female plugs on the other end. The former is of course connected to the relevant locking outlet on the parallel kit panel. Note that 20A twist plugs won't fit into 30A connections, and vice versa, even if they look correct (there is a modest size difference.)
