The problem is the Wrangler market is bifurcated now. Prior to JL, Jeep was blue collar, jeans and t-shirt. Now some of those guys are still around, but there are also a fair amount of BMW/Audi/Porsche types that want totally different things out of the brand.
Hopefully the Recon fills that need for the more street oriented Jeep.

Stellantis - Think about this idea - Listen to the end user across the market and see what is the possible.

That‘s what the engineers did when Mercedes Benz bought Chrysler - and one of the best products they delivered was the Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU.

Is there an avenue to provide Jeep the products We, the end user, are looking for? Send out a link at a minimum.

Recommendation - Solicit and listen to some ground truth end user inputs (I.e., market survey in old school marketing vernacular) especially in view of the current situation with the sales, etc.

End game - GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT.

What Stellantis/Jeep would hope we want would be a Defender. And like Defender, built on a car platform. That would make things a lot easier for them.

Ford would be standing by for all of us to begin switching to Broncos when we are ready for new vehicles.

In the meantime, JL and JK used values begin to rise as they represent what is desirable, yet no longer available to be bought new.

That having been said, I'm all for keeping the JL alive as along as possible with only incremental minor updates as needed.

I think that’s the Stellantis plan. It seems like they will ride the cash cow JL into the ground while not investing in any noteworthy changes or quality improvements in the foreseeable future.
