I believe I have read most of the freedom top leak threads. I’m having water come in at the front and center of where my two freedom tops meet. The water runs down my rear few mirror and seems to pool in that trim piece around the housing of the base of the mirror. I’ve tried multiple times to reinstall the tops with no luck.

Any chance the alignment screws could help solve this issue or should I hit the dealer? Also I have weather stripping available that I thought about running along the front seal where the freedom tops would lay on top of. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

This is the area the water starts to pour from any time there's a heavy rain. Any suggestions?

can you take a picture of the top alignment from outside? also if you can, a picture with the driver panel removed?

Attached are a few pictures. It seems the drivers top is slightly forward compared to the passenger. Not sure if that's the root cause or not. One thing I noticed is the excess seal / rubber appears to be indenting the seal that runs along the frame.

It looks like the weather seal between passenger/driver panels is not forward enough. it should actually come out ever so slightly in front on the panels when they're installed.

So I just tried to pull that little piece forward and I can tell it’s now in the correct position. One issue is that it doesn’t stick out like yours when both panels are installed. I’m wondering if I should adjust the passenger top slightly forward to see if that piece will protrude more? Thoughts? Thanks for the assistance!

not sure it has to stick out... position may be all it needed.
Looking at your pictures, I wouldn't put too much effort in moving the passenger panel forward as it looks like it's hitting at the halfway point on the first weatherstrip.

I got same problem on a new 2020 jlru. What was your repair in the end? Did you get warrantied a new freedom panel?

More than likely you pinched the seal at the front. I had the same issue and leak and I was just a bit more careful when putting in the panels. I also wiped down the seals with 303 protectant spray so the rubber will not bind
