I don't know if it's just me, but I'm having one hell of a time adjusting these Fox 2.5 elite DSC shocks for crawling. :headbang: I 'm getting a lot more body roll (side to side) than I would expect when boulder crawling...I mean head slamming body roll.... My setup is: MC 3.5" (392) game changer lift, 37" STT Pro's, about 600 lbs of skid plates, bumper, winch, steps, etc. The shocks where tuned by Accutune for the Adventure tune. I've gone from one end of the spectrum for adjustment settings to the other, i.e. full CW on both in several steps and full CCW also, and many combination in between. It's hard to say, but I basically don't notice any difference in motion at different settings. I curious as to what other folks are experiencing, body roll wise, with the Fox 2.5 shocks when boulder crawling.

This may be a stupid question, but are you disconnecting your sway bar and airing down? My 2.5" Metalcloak JLR on basic fox 2.0s floats over rocks like a cloud when disconnected and aired down with very little body thrashing.

Just a thought, what’s your bump stop setup?

I can’t remember if the standard 392 has the extended stock bumps when Non-XR, if it does than if you have 3” bump stack + 1.5” stock extension + 1” Durosprings (if used) would be eating up your uptravel.

In addition to the stuff others have recommended, might I ask what your driving style is when wheeling? Not trying to sound like a prick, but even with the best adjusted shocks, you're still going to get tossed around in a straight axle vehicle if you're going faster than you ought to over an obstacle. Might be worthwhile to actively attempt to go slower than you feel you can (a well built Jeep does feel like it can go faster over obstacles than you should, oftentimes).

What does Accutune say about it?
John at Accutune said that the shocks may have to be revalved.....I'm trying to avoid that...thinking I just haven't hit the ideal setting yet.....that's why I'm asking with other folks are setting the shocks at...

2" in front and 3" in back....I'm pretty sure it not hitting the bump stops....

Cool, and are you changing the settings on the LSC or the HSC or both?

Edit: Just re-read your post and you said you did both. Were any of the skids added after the shocks were done by accutune? And have you weighed your Jeep at a CAT scale or anything? Sounds like the Jeep may legitimately be heavier than the current valving tune anticipated and it's just overpowering the valve stack.

Just to confirm your frustration, are you talking about active body roll, or the settled "off camber" angle of the Jeep when articulated?

When Accutune re-tunes the shocks, they ask for all the modifications and added weight to the Jeep....gave them that. Also weighed the Jeep at a CAT scale....6060 pounds....

Dang, so if they've already got that, the valving should be right and you should definitely notice a change when adjusting HSC/LSC, especially if you adjust LSC independent of HSC. Honestly, I would be more inclined to have Accutune verify there wasn't a goof with your shock build. You've pretty much run the whole gamut of the viable troubleshooting.

Side note, damn that's a heavy Jeep lol
