Hey there I just purchased a 2025 rubicon at the end of may equipped with forward collision warning plus and adaptive cruise control. I’m being told the forward collision warning is ONLY ACTIVE during ACC. Is this true? Neither jeep nor the dealership will give me a straight answer and I feel like I’m getting the run around. My fcw has only activated 3 times twice while going around a corner in a parking garage and once when a car abruptly turned in front of me. I feel like if only adaptive during ACC I paid for a feature that does not exist. Any help or feedback appreciated!

I’m pretty sure it’s always active when it’s turned on not just ACC and this video seems to not mention ACC.
Mine seems to be “more sensitive” when using ACC, but I use ACC a lot, and it tends to trigger at freeway speeds on curves when a pickup truck is in the next lane just ahead of me. Scared the crap out of me and seems dangerous if someone is too close to me. In these cases I now keep my foot on the gas on curves to get ACC override.

Mine has activated twice, once when the car ahead of me decided to hit his brakes on the highway on ramp so he could wait for the cars on the highway to go by, the other when a car saw no need to check whether someone was overtaking him in the passing lane before popping over to go around dude in front of him.

I did not have the ACC on during either event.

My rubicon came with factory installed steel front and rear bumpers but I feel as though this should have zero impact on the FCW system since it is based off the camera behind the rearview. Am I correct in that assumption?

Didn't you already answer your question? Unless, of course, you had adaptive cruise on in that parking lot.

My 2025 willys XR has it. I think it comes standard in all 2025s. It is always on, not only when using cruise control.

You can also adjust the distance sensitivity in Settings.

Yes I’ve done all this. Turned off and back on. Adjusted distance. Ensured all the fuses in fuse box were fully connected (more than half of which were not)

i guess you need to take it to the dealer and have the service writer ride with you and drive towards a parked car at 40mph and see what happens....just kidding...
mine is too sensitive...it freaking will brake too hard when not needed...it is worst on fast twisty two lanes when it senses the guard rail or side of the mountain....I turn it off when driving through a heavy traffic place as it is too annoying...my ACC does not have to be activated as that annoys me too lol.....on mine it accelerates way too hard if the car in front of you decides to speed up it is like it wants to drag race pedal to the metal.....

I'm not sure what your issue is. It worked in the parking lot, right?

I have nearly plowed into several people (like within inches kind of on purpose) and I haven’t gotten so much as an audible warning. It’s been over a month since it triggered. My frustration is that no one from the dealership or jeep can tell me if they system doesn’t work bc it’s been modified and or why it’s not triggering like it should, they can’t tell me where the sensors are located, they seem to have know redeemable knowledge of their product.
