Has anybody mounted the Morimoto Tail Lights? They have a low profile, similar to the Oracles and they have the BSM sensors attached to the side, like the stock lights. I am wondering if they did a better blind spot monitoring than the Oracles.
I did... still the same problem. BSM is not working. You would like they would work better looking at the design. But no dice for me.
I did. I love them. Look great, install was a snap. And BSM works great. No complaints.
I have heard others have had no issues as well. Mine are the smoked lenses but that shouldn’t matter. I guess I’m unlucky and it’s not me. I was testing them for NR4x4 and they did the install. I might pull them and put my Oracles back in because I prefer their look. Only reason I went to the Morimotos was to regain my BSM.
I have to be a little closer than with the stock ones, but I prefer the look of the Morimoto over the Oracles. Never had them so I can’t compare.
When I have some free time, I might take a dremel and see about relocating them a bit. Been working with Tim at NR4x4.
I ordered these - in red - 3 weeks ago and they haven't shipped yet. Beginning to wonder if I made a mistake...I did. I love them. Look great, install was a snap. And BSM works great. No complaints.

Thanks for that. I've called and e-mailed. They apparently had a shipment come in just before the weather hit Atlanta, but were unable to get them shipped before shutting down. I'm sure they'll eventually arrive, but to be honest I'm questioning the purchase and may end up selling them when they do. The old halogen buckets have served me well for 4 years. We'll see how much I love them when they finally get here.

The brighter backup is very appealing and from a functional/practical consideration, the main driver. And they do look nice - especially nice on yours. I don't have BSM so that's a wash - for now. May add it some day and it'll be nice to have that piece in place if I do. I think the excitement of discovering them and getting a great deal has worn off – and the pragmatic me is stepping in.
