For Speculation. Will there be a 2025 Rubicon 392?

Going back a few years… there was a lot of talk the 2021 392 would be a single year production, then the 2022 came out, then the 2023. When the 20th anniversary came out that must certainly be the final Rubicon model having the 392. Welp, now we have a 2024 392 with the same bells & whistles plus some enhanced standard attributes & additional options. Primarily notable (for me) the full-float rear axle & updated Uconnect. It also has some undesirables compared to a non-392 i.e. red seats & the towing capacity was not increased.

So, for speculation, does anyone think there will be a 2025 model year 392? For me the purpose to wait is in hopes there’s an option for black seats, increased towing, and perhaps there may be additional standard features or options not yet known, for example a tailgate air compressor like the 20A has. Is it possible Jeep may add the black seat option later this year for a 2024? When I ordered my 2021, XR was not an option for the first few months. Had I only waited….

Quick back story. I have a 2021. Ordered a 2023. Canceled the 2023 when there was rumor of a 20A. I’m now cancelling the 20A order simply because the 2024 has more attributes at a lessor cost than the 20A. But now I’m thinking, maybe hold off until the 2025 comes out if for no other reason but to not have red seats.

The fact that Ram is pulling V8's from work trucks, leads me to think 2024 may be the last year for the 392 Wrangler. Rumor is the Hurricane will replace the 392.

They just released the 24's and we are already trying to speculate on MY 25

You could just wait on the "new" Hemi whatever when we run out of EV/battery materials. May take another few years of environmental madness but combustion engines will be here a loooong time. My '21 is completely fine here.

I was surprised they put it on the 24s, so who knows how long they’ll keep it going. Hard to believe it will be too much longer with all the BS regs pushing out the V8s. If they do cut it out after 24 it would be nice to own a 24 down the road. Limited production and additional options over prior years will help long-term value. I’m happy with my 22 and will not be swapping. I’m good with the various changes, but I just can’t get on board with that ugly-ass new front grill (or red seats). It just doesn’t even remotely have that iconic Wrangler grill look IMO.

I hope they make them for a few more years, but like everyone else I think 24 or 25 will probably be the end. OR they will keep using up all the Dodge/Ram leftovers in them until the LM comes out with the Hurricane I6.

Yeah the seats are a bummer for me cause I want a Red Jeep... So I will have to go get seat covers.... is it a deal breaker NOPE cause I've always had underpowered Jeeps.... I want one with more than enough power.

I personally think they had no intention of keeping it in '24, but the replacement engine was not ready to go for some reason....the mid-year refresh would have been a great time to do something new.

Instead, they had to screw over the 20A folks....they had no choice.

A last year announcement was made for Challenger/Charger allowing for high profit, high mark up Last Call Special Editions . Suspect similar for the 392. The only absolute is new EPA standards for 27. If not before, 26 will be the last.

2023 is the last year for the hemi power plants for dodge so whether that is for MY23 Chargers/Challengers or MY24 Rubicon 392. For Dodge this year all V8’s have the last call badge under the hood. I doubt they’d extend it for MY25 since dodge uses most of those power plants., just my opinion and thoughts.

I agree. EVs are just politically driven and a flash in the pan. They will be as successful as the United States converting to the metric system. Jimmy tried!

I hear ya. I'm in the same boat, I want to have a red Jeep, so seat covers it is. Or, cross my fingers and wait to see if Jeep adds black seats as an option for a late model 2024 or wait longer for a 2025. Either way I'm going to trade mine in, was just hoping to not have to mess with the seats.
