Wasn’t sure where to post this one, but anyone have any suggestion on a foldable shovel that fits in rear hidden cargo area of the JL?

thanks

I too carry an entrenching tool. They’re not “ergonomic” but they fold up nicely and can save you butt on the trail. An E-too, snatch strap and winch should be standard on any Jeep taken off-road imho. They will let you dig out snow and ice as well. Dunno of any (at least any substantial) snow shovels that collapse. Wife had one decades ago that broke down into segments and fit in a small bag (for her car). The only time we ever needed it it was less than useless (wound up using just the blade to dig out cause the handle broke.

You can also lock an E tool in the halfway position and use it like a hoe to move a lot of snow without having to scoop and empty.

Search for Avalanche Rescue Shovels. They'll be the best thing you can get.
They're designed for snow (trenching shovels aren't), lightweight, tough and collapsible to be worn on the back while skiing. They'll also offer more mounting/storage options than just tossed in the cargo area.
