Hello,

I found a nice diagram showing the fluid capacities for the JL. I have a 2023 Rubicon with the 3.6L engine and a manual transmission. I also have the 4.10 gears. I am not sure which axles I have in the chart below, so any advice would help. I want to be 100% sure that these are accurate fluids based on the chart below:

Engine Oil - 0w20 (this has been highly debated online)
Manual Transmission - Mopar ATF 4 (this chart doesn't show how much fluid to use if doing a drain and fill)

Where was that chart sourced? That's the first I've seen ATF+4 recommended for the power steering system. I've a bottle of what the manual recommends, which is Mopar Electric Power Steering Fluid.

Here's a link to "Mopar Power Steering Fluid +4". Note that it's applicable to 2008-2019 vehicles, which functionally excludes most of the JL Jeeps.

The Rubicon models, such as yours, are equipped with:

210 Front Axle
220 with ELD (Electronic Locking Differential) Rear Axle

Like @Heimkehr stated, everything I've read/seen for the power steering fluid is the Electric Power Steering stuff from Mopar or equivalent. I would not ever ever put ATF+4 in the JL PS system.

Other model Wranglers, such as TJ's, took ATF+4 in the PS system. But with the electrical PS system, stay away from ATF+4.

Thanks for the reply! Do you have a fluid capacity chart you recommend for all fluids in my Jeep?

I think I got it from Extreme Terrain.

so, essentially, 80w90 in both my front and rear differentials and I'd be good to go? any idea of the transfer case fluid weight? Looks like the transmission and the transfer case both take AT4, can you confirm?

I just called my local dealership and this is what they told me regarding all oil weights:

Rubicon oil weights

Engine Oil
0w20

front diff
75w85 - 2.18 pints

rear diff
75w85- 2.87 lsd additive 2.37 oz (some rear diff fluid has it in it)

transfer
ATF 4

transmission
ATF 4

Thoughts?

The attached tables are sourced from my Tech Authority Service Manual for a 2018 JL Wrangler. The diesel engine wasn't offered that year, apparently, and was not included in the table.
Maybe this can get pinned.
