I am from Quebec Canada. In the past 2 years Wrangler waving was deduced. I would say now 40-50% waves back.

But in Florida, what's happening???
1 out of 10 or 15 wave's back. WTH?

C'mon folks! Needs to be improved!

I am now in Giorgia and so it is way better, time will tell.

Have you also realized that Jeep wave has decreased in your area?

Because it gets hot in Florida, many people tint their windows and windshields. So you may not even be able to see if they are waving or not. I wave at jeeps if I am aware of them and it is safe to do so. I do not wave at angry grills, nor do I wave if I am downshifting the manual transmission during a turn.

I found there is definitely a Jeep Maximum Saturation for waves.

Where I live, if I drive the 1.2 mi to the supermarket I'll encounter a dozen Jeeps give or take a few. Jeeps, Subarus or some make of truck comprises 75% of the vehicles on the road. There is no Jeep wave here because you'll be doing it constantly. It gets old real quick.

Out on the trail on the other hand, in the middle of nowhere with no cell service, the Jeep wave is very common, usually as the initial step to a brief stop and a conversation about trail conditions.

Well I am in Orlando, FL and I wave ALL the time!

Probably more than my wife likes, especially since she hated it from the first time finding out about it after I bought my Jeep. I am not supposed to be waving at other women than her :lipssealed: ?:swear:

For me in AZ it's dependent on day of the week. When it's a weekday and it's all soccer moms taking kids to school and practice, they don't wave. Only the modded jeeps that are clearly wheeled will give you a wave. On the weekend tho, all the weekend warriors come out, or those who have a jeep as a 3rd vehicle, and suddenly everyone waves.

My wife and I try to wave. There are some missed here and there due to messing with the radio etc. We like doing it, its like youre part of something :) I have noticed though, out of all colored Jeeps, white Jeeps with women drivers wave back the least.

I agree with @Roky. I’m in SW FL, Sarasota County, and I darn near have carpal tunnel syndrome from waving and waving back at Jeep folks. It’s rare that they don’t wave here.

SE FL is, indeed, like being in another state, in many ways.

It never get's old for me. If I get a return wave I assume it's a true Jeep lover behind the wheel. We both "get it" and we share a brief moment of shared appreciation of the Jeep legacy and tradition. If no wave I assume it's just a person driving a vehicle with a 7 slot grille.

This is EXACTLY how I see it. Although, my classification of the non waving type is that they don't truely know what they have (and probably don't care). I do include Gladiators, as well.
I've waved at the same ones multiple times and eventually, I've met some of them in parking lots or fuel stations. Almost every time the conversation begins with "Hey, I've seen you around and traded Jeeps waves with you a lot...". that has turned more than a few 10 minute refuels into 30+ minute Jeep conversations.

The best is when the cute 20-somethings give my old ass the time of day and want to know more about Jeep mods and where the trails are. Except when my better half is with me... ?

I love it, and wouldn't have it any other way. ✌
