Ok, so I did put the green/ white on the red and black/ purple on black, now when I open the door light comes on but shut down after about 15sec. Which is courtesy light, ambient light does not work, so looks like the yellow is ambient, might not be possible to have both on the Kc lights, sadly I was more looking for ambient light than the courtesy, will try to reverse things this week, will hook the yellow to red, only concern is that the yellow and black that has been cut on vehicule are really tiny wires.

Yea... I gathered that would be what you would be seeing. I quickly looked at the schematic..

Wanting that KC light as ambient, you should have snipped the yellow foot well wire and attached it to the red KC light wire. Now, you would take the black wire from the KC light and splice that into the foot well, black/purple wire.

Do this and you would see your JL behave the same but just that you would have the brighter KC light for ambient lighting.

Note: Reality is, you could have spliced in both wires / no snipping, and just left the stock lights working with your KC.

Your English is aok...

DO get back here and post your results.. Tell us if you can get the KC light(s) to dim down enough/ properly, with the ambient lighting switch.

DO test a bit, right after attaching the wires.... to be sure you are happy with the end lighting result. IF you are, then tape up your work. 8-)
