I'm looking at this Go Rhino, because I really like the clean look of putting my lights in the bumper. https://www.quadratec.com/p/go-rhino/rockline-winch-ready-front-bumper-overrider-jeep-wrangler-jl

But, I really like the LOD bumpers. I'd get it bare then take to LineX to coat it. https://lodoffroad.com/products/jeep/2018-jeep-jl-products/front-bumpers.html

Good luck and keep us posted on which one empties your pocket:like:
Those look AWESOME but a little too rich for my wallet.

That thing looks like it would crumple in a heartbeat. You get what you pay for.
I’m worried about that too.

It looks like the thickness difference between the expensive ones listed here, and the cheap one I referenced, is only 3/100 inch difference. How much does that affect crash-worthiness? I’m out of my element on this one.

The big difference is where it's made and the quality of the steel. The one you referenced is obviously made in China with the cheapest possible materials and finish.

Roger that; I will stay away from it and ones like it. Thank you.

I'd be suspicious of anything under $500. Even then you really have to ask around. There is some expensive junk out there too. You're really just not going to get anything quality for cheap when it comes to the aftermarket. Just save for a bit, you'll thank me later.

Pictures or it didnt count:LOL:
Well, I can show you a picture of the passenger-side wire harness cover I made out of the euro plastic; that side was a little more difficult to modify. Again, I used a table saw and a belt sander. It only took a few minutes. Those two tools made it extremely easy. 80 grit on the belt sander, plywood blade on the table saw.

By the way, I expected the stock bumper to be a bit more robust than it is.

That front stock bumper is a joke. When I replaced it I weighed it and I think it was like 18 pounds.

Holy shit! Really??? Thank you for that; I can use that to convince my wife to buy one NOW! That is worse than any cheap Chinese after-market hunk of metal! It makes perfect sense. I KNOW what I felt when I dropped into the hole; it was far from severe, yet it knocked the front bumper somewhat out of alignment, and it was WAY too easy to hammer it back into place!

You’re my savior, bro ;)

LOL, no problem. Yeah it's literally a long skinny stamped plate of steel and the rest is all plastic. Useless for more than 10mph IMO.
