Finding a local dealer to order from

Last Jeep I ordered in 2018 it was easy to find a best price because I built it and sent the build to a bunch of dealers asking for an offer. now the system wants a 100 deposit and has the same {above MSRP} price at every dealer I choose.

I guess I have to actually start talking to car salesmen [something I did pretty good avoiding last time] to get a price, but while Im doing this I just have to ask if there are any firsthand accounts of good dealers in Wisconsin? Im not sure I want to Fly to Louisiana to pick it up but I would go a couple hundred miles for sure.

You should consult @Ratbert ’s dealer list. It will break down who offers discounts, invoice pricing, etc. Although I don’t think it offers any insight into customer service.

I would contact Granger Motors in IA, 6% under invoice. Not a bad drive from WI to Des Moines IA.

Granger….. we live in Los Angeles, California and we flew out to Granger three times in two years to purchase from them. We did order them first. It was a super great and beautiful 3 Day drive home.

That's what I was thinking. The usefulness of my spreadsheet has diminished greatly due to these price drops, and that's a good thing...except for resale values.

10% off MSRP should be the starting point for price negotiations right now

Check out cargurus or the like. You can narrow down trim, color, distance from your home, options, etc. Prices seem best now from dealers that have them on the lot- a turnaround from the last few years.
