I ordered my JL Wrangler September 15th and have a projected delivery date of November 4th. When placing the order the dealer had no interest in talking about financing. I have been on Chrysler Credits web site and cannot find rates for a Wrangler. Does Chrysler not want to finance their Wranglers?
I have a good rate from my local bank but would like to see what Chrysler Credit has to offer.

Curious what their rates are. Anyone know?

Perhaps they knew that rates would likely change between now and the time you took delivery? Just a hunch.

I called Chrysler who wouldn't answer. They said you have to contact the dealer. I reached out to the dealer and it sounds like high 4's for 60 months at this time.

They're not going to quote you a rate until it's time to sign. Rates are changing (going up)...
They just went up .25% (on a $25,000 loan that is like $3 a month). They will not raise again this quarter. I'd expect to see an increase 2nd half of '19 though. Sucks.

Chrysler should be transparent on rates and adjust as the Fed does. It feels shady they appear to hide current rates and like they want to sell rates as some dealerships do. Lock you into a price with higher APR or if you walk they conveniently drop the APR to lower your payment. Its just bad for the consumer but just another typical dealer tactic.

I just got 1.99 for 60 through a local CU here in Houston last week. They had 2.49 for 72 as well. The best lender the dealer could do was in 3.5% range. No brainer to use the CU, and the dealer didn't even try to push one of their lenders on me.

Which credit union in Houston has 1.99% for 60 right now??? I thought I'd checked with every single one and they were all significantly higher than that (3%+). PM if you don't want to post it here for some reason.

They have a "Grand Opening" special tied to the opening of the Cypress branch that's 0.25% off the 72 rate if you decide to go that route which brings it to the 2.74%.

Process was super simple. Went into the branch, opened an account with $25, applied for the loan, got approved. Went to the dealer, they sent over a purchase order to them, I signed the CU papers an hour later and the dealer had the funding instructions 30 minutes later. Easy peasy.

You sir, are a rock star. I thought I'd checked every CU in the area but I guess I missed this one. You just saved me a little over a grand. I think a case of beer of a bottle of your favorite (moderately priced, lol) bourbon/vodka/tequila is in order. True story. PM me.

HA! I'm glad to be able to help. Are you in Houston? Let me know when you get your Rubi. We can go crawl the malls together. Galleria, Memorial, Willowbrook. Save the hardcore stuff for last at Greenspoint.

I’m not taking to to Gunspoint until I get the bulletproof body panel mod. Lol. I ordered about 3 weeks ago so I don’t expect to have it until the end of the year at best. I’m in Baytown but work all over metro Houston and the surrounding area. I bought thus just to be ready for the next inevitable floods. Lol.

Most auto manufacturers finance because it's a way to encourage buyers to choose their car - so they offer rates better than market rates. Last I saw, FCA is still doing this with a 0% offer on the Cherokee. But the simple fact is that Wranglers are already selling as fast as they can build them, so they don't need to subsidize rates. Therefore you are almost certainly going to do better through a local credit union, or try something like LendingTree.

Thanks for the info! I am in Cypress and hoping for a November delivery.
