  1. Reports/rumors: Serious accident at 2019 Easter Jeep Safari

Haha, no worries, and in plain English that’s how everyone describes it. It’s something that gets beaten into you in law school that negligence and recklessness are two distinct things. Negligence is when your conduct deviates from what a normal person would do, even if it’s accidental...
  2. Reports/rumors: Serious accident at 2019 Easter Jeep Safari

I’m very happy that I have something to add to these board as a (very) new Jeep owner, but I’m a lawyer, so I might as well chime in. Granted, I do corporate law, but I know enough to be dangerous on personal injury law, and in a prior life I was a claims adjuster. If she sues, her claim would...
  3. Fender Gap

You should edit the post with the dealer info, if you’re comfortable doing so. Could be relevant for someone considering a purchase.

  5. Farrish of Fairfax VA the best experience I ever had

That’s a Jeep issue, not a Farrish issue, though. My experience was that I was notified when the vehicle was in KZ, and when it was actually en route and then when it arrived.
  6. Farrish of Fairfax VA the best experience I ever had

Picked up my Jeep from Frankie on Saturday. No issues at all. Most of the time was just waiting on financing stuff.
  7. Farrish of Fairfax VA the best experience I ever had

Will second the recommendation for Frankie. I ordered with Spencer in late October, but he left the dealer not too long ago. Frankie has been very responsive, and has given me updates on the status of my order (in transit now). I expect the actual delivery will also go smoothly.
  8. Philadelphia-area/Delco Dealers

Yeah, I probably should have called. In any event, it is still a decent drive for me to get to Coatesville such that I wouldn't use them for service, though certainly not as far as Fairfax. Glad you got a good deal; she seems like she's well reviewed on these boards. Admittedly, I didn't even...
  9. Philadelphia-area/Delco Dealers

    Nice! That's a good deal.
  10. Philadelphia-area/Delco Dealers

While the joke in DE is that everybody knows everybody, SCD doesn't ring a bell, unfortunately.
  11. Philadelphia-area/Delco Dealers

Louviers seems to be a bit lower; I'd see if you qualify to be a member and see how they compare.
  12. Philadelphia-area/Delco Dealers

I just got off the phone with a local credit union in Wilmington (where I work), and I was told that if I refi within 6 months, I will get "new car" financing rates. I would presume they aren't the only credit union to have a policy like that.
  13. Philadelphia-area/Delco Dealers

I had same issue with Criswell. Finally got a response, and it wasn’t as good as Farrish, even with Criswell’s lower doc fee. Re: financing through Farrish: consider the fact that you’ll be able to refinance whenever you’d like.
  14. Philadelphia-area/Delco Dealers

I first started looking on these boards a few weeks ago, and I had trouble finding centralized information on Philly-area dealers. So, I figured I’d put some numbers together for the next poor soul who is in the area and trying to find the best deal. The tl/dr here is that no Philly-area...
  15. Employer discount vs tread lightly?

Your best option will likely be Farrish in Fairfax, Va. I’m in Delco (but work in Wilmington). Got 7.25% off invoice with a requirement to finance with them. I tried everyone in and around Philly, and no one would even come close to Farrish. Seem to be pretty well reviewed on here, and they were...
  16. Financiang QUestion

I've seen people noting 4-5% APR (closer to 5%). Check your local credit unions; you'll typically find your best rates there.
