100% on board with your post.I ordered my *'21* in August of last year. It was delivered 2 weeks before Christmas... 4-1/2 months... and since then waiting times have gotten longer. It's not a secret.
I noticed an error (black seat instead of tan) on my order right before they shipped it. The dealer offered to reorder it as a '22. I took it as it was rather than risking another 6 months.
And we're ALL aware of lead times in general. I don't know how anybody can be surprised at long lead times. We're ALL dealing with it.
By the way, for the past 4 years or so, due to a shortage in drivers, shipping containers have been sitting in the train yards for ~3 weeks before they're able to get to them. The train lines are also cutting back workers' hours even though they've had record profits (I've got a friend who works for the trains in Chicago... they are currently negotiating a new contract).
Big corporations everywhere are bringing in huge profits at the expense of good service... and we are too divided politically to fight back against them.
That said I still have to deal with people who have no clue that we still have supply chain issues and don't understand why they can't get in their building fully renovated over the summer. In addition to the supply chain there is a lack of skilled workers for many construction related trades. So there are times, when if you can get the materials in a timely manner, there is a backlog for installation because of a shortage of skilled tradesmen.
