Yes, I received the following quote for the 2018 JL, send him an email to get info directly from him, he answered back pretty quickly:

From: Tom Winkels, email [email protected] - Finance Manager, Hayes Jeep - TEL-269.488.2080

MSRP is $3965
Employee price $2973
His price $2665 $100 deductible
Or $2340 $200 deductible

You can purchase this contract at this price from him after you take delivery and prior to Mopar raising their prices, which usually occurs in early April each year. Also, Mopar applies a $150 surcharge after your vehicle reaches 12 months from ‘in service’ date or 12,000 miles.
Does anyone know whether this Lifetime warranty is transferable? And what if the car is totaled?
In terms of when to buy, I think it makes sense to wait a bit and get it before 12 mo and just before the next price hike in April. Is there a warranty poll of how many owners are getting mopar warranty? It would be interesting to see the percentage.

It is not transferable which is why some people opt for the 8 year one which is transferable.
Also a portion is refundable if you sell or total it up to a certain date, but I can't remember how many years that is.

So for a 2015, 3 years out, its really a 5 year insurance plan. I think they are misleading , should state upfront "from in-service date" , then you can figure the ACTUAL coverage ...

If you purchase the extended plan is there anything covered that is not covered with the warranty that comes with the Wrangler?

Well that's how they get you, you are really paying for nothing for the first 3 years of warranty because the manufacturer covers it. I usually wait til factory warranty is over, then think if I need it or not. Some credit unions offer their warranty if you finance with them and have better pricing, cover the same for the most part, but they got their own list of approved mechanics. Friend of mine went that route with his infinity and came out cheaper. And only a $100 deductible I believe.

In most cases yes, but it could also start in year two if you drove a lot of miles.

Did you have to transfer the FCA LT Warranty to your closet dealer? They seem to imply that in their brochure. I'm thinking about getting this.

"Plan service will be provided by the dealer who sold you the plan. In the event that you cannot return to the selling dealer for service, you may request plan service from any FCA dealer within the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico or Mexico. If you are unable to obtain plan service from an authorized dealer, call our tool-free number to receive service instructions."

I'm assuming you bought it from another dealer ... such as the one in Kalamazoo MI?

No, I will be able to use it at any Jeep dealer. It is an FCA backed warranty, so if I'm away from home, I'll be able to get it serviced. They also provide trip protection insurance to cover the cost of rental cars, hotels, and such.
