Haaaahaahahahahaha. Fake sports car sounds, in a sports car/truck. How pathetic. I thought it was sad when they did that with electric vehicles. Maybe pump a big block Chevy sound into a 4 banger, so that the kids of today can see what they missed. Hey, if your engine sounds like a rabid popcorn popper, own it I say.
I actually thought the 392 had fake sound. There was someone here that disconnected the 4 mic's and effectively disabled "active noise control" and said it changed the engine noise.
Is the crackling just when you press the button, or heard occasionally while the loud button is turned off. If it's heard while the exhaust is in quiet mode, you likely have a loose wire in your audio system. You probably don't hear it when the loud button is turned on, but when the cabin is quiet, you hear all kinds of things that otherwise you wouldn't.
