I installed RCV axles, but broke the FAD gasket. I'm wondering if I can use gasket maker (The Right Stuff) or is the clearance from the gasket needed for the FAD fork?
I'm hoping that I can just use the gasket maker, my jeep is my only vehicle and there's no dealership in town.
Thanks in advance,
Clinton

I just swapped gears, gasket broke, used Ultra grey. Had 7" of snow yesterday, went out for a drive. 4wd worked fine FWIW.

There's nothing really sensitive to installed depth of the fork. The difference is probably less than a millimeter. The fork just needs to be engaged with the collar.
