Factory radio "loudness" not enough???

So 22 rubi, why does the radio only go to 38? I could understand a nominal number, 20,25 30 etc. 38?

Can taser unlock it? I would like just a little louder while driving her naked....say 50 lol

It's three times louder than eleven with a bit to spare which is great for listening to "Heavy Duty" by Spinal Tap.

I've wondered where that arbitrary upper limit originated as well. I have a Tazer Mini and it does not allow for changing the radio volume, at least not that I've found in its menus.

More volume will increase the output voltage and create more distortion, assuming there’s any headroom to even push into. Better to increase power (amplifiers) or use more efficient speakers.

So been there done that. Used to have a JK with infinity and easy upgrade was to replace the HU. We get her a ‘21 JLURD and I’m using my Spotify account and wondering why I’m running out of volume knob. FF to me getting a ‘22 JLURD and I’ve planned a replacement HU and speaker upgrade. Nothing seems to make it better until I accidentally switch to FM. Whoa, this sounds much better. What’s going on. Seems the factory Alpine needs more signal from your source. I maxed out the quality settings on Spotify and voila, better sound quality. I ended up down the rabbit hole of a Quart Stage 6 on mine but on hers I only replaced the dash speakers with an extra set of Quart dash speakers and that made a difference. If I were to do it again, I’d just go with two pair of kicker dart speakers. A pair in the dash and a pair in the soundbar.
