Good Day,
I have been a long-time time jeep owner and enthusiast. My first jeep was a 74 Cj5 with a 304 V8, my current is a 2014 Wrangler ARB lockers. I may offend some on this forum, with this comment, but here it is. I don't understand the infatuation with "Factor 55" The "Factor 55" team has done a fantastic job advertising, very clever with "closed loop" and all. But, I laugh out loud with a see a hook selling for 250 dollars. I know all about vehicle recovery, straps and winches. I have owned and used hydraulic, electric, PTO, - worm gear, spur gear, even some DIY winches. A simple hook costing around 15 dollars works great and is indestructible. If it makes you feel any better, you could paint it red or blue, even carefully stencil FACTOR 55 on it.

I bought one of their "fast fids". I have used it a couple times and find it's pretty handy.

But all that machined and anodized aluminum winch hook stuff is a result of some idle CNC machinery and solutions looking for problems. But, it's pretty cool looking at the mall.

strange first post just the same....has an 11 year old JK and joins a JL forum just to say he doesn't understand why the infatuation with Factor55...would have been a better first post to say how stupid jl's are and not worth the money...that would make more sense than factor 55.
