Extreme Cold- Squeaking Shocks or Struts

Has anyone noticed shocks or the struts squeaking in the extreme cold? Since we have been in the teens and subzeros in KC, I have noticed my rear shocks or struts squeaking when I hit bumps, especially a speed bump, or backing out of the driveway.

I’ve noticed that with my work truck. And my older Silverado. Every morning they squeaking but as it warms a bit it’s gone. Never had issues from it though.

Ya, I am not too concerned, just wondered if anyone has the issue. My Jeep has just over 3k on it, so I was a little surprised.

I have the Fox 2.0 IFP shocks and they do the same, get real stiff in the 30 below zero weather up north here

That makes me feel better. Took some colleagues to lunch today and it was a little embarrassing. Of course I said, "It's a Jeep thing," like a tool.

I drove into town this AM: -28F. The Rubi creaked and groaned like an old Conestoga farm wagon. I never realized there were so many stiff contact points on the suspension, chassis and hard top.

Agreed, we only got to -10 in KC, but it was enough for the Jeep to throw a helluva fit.

Hard top sounds like it's gonna crack in half in sub-20 temps
Jeep is generally just noisy when cold
