Using my new Flashpaq F5 menu options to disable ASS then disconnecting the slightly thinner of the two cables mounted to the block attached to the negative battery terminal and pulling fuse F42, ASS is still active. I have pushed the dash button to disable only to have that unwanted option to reactivate itself when the vehicle is turned off then after a couple of minutes restarted.

Does the Flashpak F5 have the ability to in fact disable engine start stop (ESS, i.e. your ASS)?

There are several products on the market that offer this, some dedicated only to this task, (e.g. https://www.autostopeliminator.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorev4Qn6oGhPQ9e6_l5kna3pUcm5Mw_DkEzQml3z-sXMs-NKyem ) some providing this capability and more (https://www.zautomotive.com/collections/tazer/2020-jeep-wrangler-esi1394283), one which does it with a kluge (https://jscan.net/) and yet DIY methods.

But do know that bypassing the Aux battery, and yanking Fuse 42 have, in and of themselves, nothing to do with turning off the ESS system. They are two independent things. For argument sake you could run ESS events with just the main battery, or never run them with both or just the main battery connected.

As far as the need to press the ESS off button each time you cold crank, this is an EPA mandated requirement for manufacturers like Stellantis who seek to report the better MPG rating that such ESS systems can provide. That button, at least from the manufacturer, must be "non-latching," defaulting to ESS on with each cold crank, in order for the more favorable MPG ratings to legally be reported to the public.
