Most probably won't say if they are running the Stage 2. This goes against what our government wants, which means talking about it being a terrible idea.

There was a recent thread stating to watch out for EOC, you can read that and learn some of what people are experiencing with EOC.

My buddy, who lost his Jeep in a boating accident ;), had that exhaust. While it was nice and somewhat quiet at idle or under 2k rpm, it sounded like a raspy V6 as you got to 2.5k rpm and beyond. He drove it around like that for about a month, then took it to an exhaust shop to add a small baffled turbo muffler on it.

After that, and before he lost it in said boating accident, it sounded just as quiet as stock until you get past 3k rpm where you started to hear what sounded like a jet exhaust or a lot of air moving through the system. So it basically sounded just like stock under normal driving until you get on it past mid throttle. Then you heard a tornado leaving your exhaust pipe after that. He noticed no difference in performance between the straight pipe from the EOC kit and the adding the baffled turbo muffler.

Just to confirm. Your buddy had an EOC stage 2 adding nearly 80hp and 140 torque and he noticed no difference in performance. I’ve been looking into that tune and as far as a weight reduction tune I’ve heard it’s the only reliable way to go at present time.

There’s a Facebook group for JL/JT Ecodiesels and I’ve asked there and most seem very pleased with it. I’ve also followed an Ecodiesel page that includes the Ram and same thing. It seems when going stage 2 that EOC is the only one anyone strongly recommends. MRtuning out of Canada is actually doing the tune for EOC as I understand. Most refer to it as weight reduction to stay off the radar.

No, I mean he did not notice any big difference between the flow through exhaust from EOC that made lots of noise versus adding the baffled turbo muffler that made it sound like stock under normal driving. There was definitely a difference between stock and tuned.

That makes more sense. I was starting to rethink my future purchase.

I currently have the stage one from EOC, I'm thinking about getting it redone to do the multimap.

The price isn't that much worse, and when I want to hypermile in the future I'll be able to. The only thing I don't like about it is that it uses the cruise control buttons. I don't have adaptive cruise control, but on long drives the cruise control feature is pretty handy. I guess when I get around to mailing them my PCM I'll have to ask them about if it completely disables cruise control or if it will allow me to still use cruise control but only certain buttons. 🤷‍♂️

Does anyone else have the multimap from eoc? Any knowledge about if cruise control is still available? Also how much better MPGs are you seeing with the Econo tune?

There is no information about how to select between tunes but the part about not being able to use the live functions of the Tazer leads me to believe it uses a combination of buttons to trigger the changes like the live functions which is why you can’t have both active. I am reasonably sure cruise control will still work.

has no effect on cruise control. I’d recommend the SOTF. Super nice being able to choose the power You want or to stay completely stock

For adaptive cruise control vehicles like mine, you can only have one tune loaded on the ECM. There was a gentleman on here who said he tested the 50hp and 80hp tune and said there was no difference in feel and acceleration times. Only major difference was how much smoke it produced.

I wish EOC would have made a 40hp/60tq tow tune therefore I could have broke the 300/500 marks. I don't tow often, but they were pretty adamant about not towing with the 50/80 tune.

There seems to be a SOFT for the Stage 1 now. IDK if I would have gotten that or not if I had to do Stage 1 again.

Those with “friends” running EOC stage 2. Was anything else needed other than what comes with their exhaust kit concerning the EGR? It looks like it comes with the block off plate but wasn’t sure if my friend needs to order anything else before his kit arrives. He ordered the SOTF, trans tune, powergate 4, security bypass, spare ECM and the exhaust kit. Can’t believe they ran a Black Friday sale.

My friends buddies cousin says you might need gaskets. And electrical caps from Shibby Engineering to keep the electrical connections clean.
