Does anyone have the stage 1 with the DEF delete? I’m not finding any info/firsthand experience with it. Curious about mpg gains or loss. Any info is appreciated!

Just got mine installed today. Was about a two week turn around. I opted for the Towing tune on a pre tuned ECU. Drove it for about 60 miles today and it was great. Haven’t driven it long enough to say anything about the mpg increase but around town it’s been awesome. I’ll update after a week or so.

I got the tow tune along with the trans tune. Much more responsive, no more dead pedal, also shifting is much improved. Getting about 2 mpg better than before. Very happy.

Over 1000 miles in now. Average Mpg prior to the tune was 20.9. Now after about 1000 miles average is sitting at 22.7. I’ve seen up to 24-25 on longer trips, cruising at 75. Still no complaints.

And I just got happy that I hit 15 miles to the gallon in my rig. Yet after seeing your numbers, I think I’m gonna go back to crying. 😢

I have been having EGR issues. Just had to replace the low side egr valve and cooler, (not covered under factory warranty btw). Does the stage 1 turn off the egr so I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore?

It does turn off the EGR and gives you the option to turn off DEF which is another common failure point. Email EOC and ask what the best option is for you.

Any updates after 6 months of use?
Still happy with the changes?
Anything different you’d do?
And finally - did you remove any hardware or just let it ride along as is?
Thanks.

Very happy with the performance, eliminates the dead pedal off the line and the start/stop, and the torque when accelerating is fantastic. Getting about 30 straight highway. I was actually up in Vancouver earlier this month and decided to pick up the full exhaust to go to stage 2 and remove the EGR completely, probably this summer. But for a stage 1 leaving all the components it’s absolutely worth it. I’m 50/50 on whether or not the trans tune was worth the money honestly.

Great to hear.
Just exploring the stage one and def delete. I see no need for the trans in my style of driving.
Going into the shop tomorrow for my second def fault code. And last month I had the intake manifold replaced under warranty for clogged swirl valves.
Love the rig, but not these issues. Hoping this will delete the faults and make the rig more perfect.
thanks.

Man I wouldn’t hesitate. My major motivation was all of the issues people had with the DEF system, seems to be the main failure point of this engine, not to mention SAVING your engine by turning off the EGR.
